Today begins our journey to China to celebrate the Chinese New Year and explore a different culture. In the next few weeks, we will:

  • taste (if we are brave and adventurous!) new foods

  • examine where our clothes are made and mark those places on the world map

  • read stories based in China

  • listen to chinese music and learn some words

  • learn about the zodiac

  • learn a bit about Chinese inventions, history and culture

  • do lots of crafts and

  • maybe we'll do a lion dance. or a fan dance.

And of course we will go about our regular preschool business of playing and doing puzzles and adventuring outdoors. I like starting my week with these kiddos. And Hal is the oldest! How about that?
